Supporting the Senior Underwriting Operations & Governance Manager to deliver an operational excellence framework across Performance Management, ensuring that effective processes, tools, communication, technology and ways of working are in place to build alignment of core performance management activity and ensure that a culture of continuous improvement is developed and adopted.

  • Ability to balance the interests of multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to be creative, able to deal with complex problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and manage constructive conflict

These skills will help you to deliver the accountabilities of the role:

  • Provide ongoing process and governance support to the Underwriting and Syndicate Performance and teams.
  • Support key business activities including performance, planning, governance, control and risk management activities adjacent to the Underwriting and Syndicate Performance teams key activities e.g. quarterly performance review process, performance improvement process, Contribution towards Underwriting dimension of principles based oversight, CPG guidance and training, etc
  • Support and contribute to the effective delivery of other team projects as relevant
  • Supporting the Senior Manager, Underwriting Operations & Governance to meet any reporting requirements as necessary
  • Ensure relevant processes are risk based, appropriately documented, working efficiently and well governed
  • Support the management of the risk environment within Underwriting and compliance with the requirements set out by the corporation controls
  • Carry out controls testing of key departmental controls
  • Contribute to a continuous process improvement mindset within the team
