Associate Tutor for Interventions
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 32.5 hours, 39 weeks (term time plus one week)
Working pattern: Monday to Friday
Salary: Pathway 6, £25,696 - £28,410 per annum (FTE £34,314 - £37,938)
Site: Richard Barnes Academy

Your role:
As an Associate Tutor at Richard Barnes Academy, you will work closely with teachers, senior leadership, outside agencies, and parents to enhance the learning, progress, and behaviour of students. This role spans both primary and secondary phases, offering a unique opportunity to impact a wide range of learners. Your expertise in understanding the needs of Alternative Provision students, along with a good working knowledge of barriers to learning such as SEND or SEMH needs, will be crucial.
Experience in supporting students with literacy and numeracy, effective behaviour management, and a commitment to equality and diversity are essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are vital, as is the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals. Additionally, experience in supporting students with complex special educational, social, and emotional needs will be highly valued.
