Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an Associate/Associate Director in Colchester to lead a range of town planning projects, mentoring junior planners and building strong client relationships.

The successful candidate will be MRTPI qualified with post-qualification experience and a proven track record in residential, mixed-use and strategic development, along with solid knowledge of UK planning policy and client-facing project management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee a wide range of planning projects from inception through to determination.
  • Manage key client relationships and provide strategic planning advice.
  • Prepare and review complex planning applications, appeals and planning strategies.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the planning team.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to business development activities.
  • Represent clients in meetings with local authorities, stakeholders and consultants.

Associate / Associate Director - Town Planning
Salary: £50,000 - £80,000 DOE + Benefits
Location: Colchester


I'm currently working with a highly regarded planning and design consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Associate or Associate Director to join its growing team in Colchester.


This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planning professional ready to take on a senior leadership role, managing a diverse portfolio of residential, mixed-use and strategic development projects across England and Wales. You'll play a key role in leading projects, developing client relationships, mentoring junior planners and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
