Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Kent is seeking an experienced Associate Town Planner to lead a varied portfolio of planning projects within a growing team. You will independently manage medium-sized schemes while supporting Directors on larger, complex developments, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

You will collaborate with Directors, clients, and consultants to guide projects from inception to completion, build strong client relationships and contribute to the planning function's ongoing growth and

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in planning, consultancy or public sector.
• MRTPI chartered status.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium-sized planning projects from instruction through to completion.
• Support Directors on larger and more complex developments.
• Attend client meetings and act as a key project contact.
• Liaise with external consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects.
• Prepare and review planning applications, appeals and supporting documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with local planning authorities and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the planning function.
