Job summary

FutureGen Recruitment is seeking an Associate Town Planner for its Brighton and Hove office. You will work on residential, mixed-use, coastal regeneration, hospitality and heritage-led schemes, leading or supporting from appraisal to determination depending on seniority.

The role offers hybrid working, a clear path to Associate Director and a salary of £50,000–£62,000, plus bonus, pension and healthcare. You will engage with clients and local authorities to deliver high‑quality planning

Qualifications

• MRTPI; consultancy experience; confident with complex applications and design‑led project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clear planning appraisals, statements and strategic advice.
• Manage planning applications and coordinate technical inputs.
• Maintain regular, professional communication with clients and project teams.
• Negotiate constructively with local planning authorities and other stakeholders.
• Review work produced by junior colleagues and support their development.
• Contribute to fee proposals, client development and the commercial management of projects.
