FutureGen Recruitment is seeking an Associate Town Planner in Leeds to support growth and take a leading role on complex projects within an independent planning consultancy. The role offers a salary of £49,000–£62,000 plus bonus, with a hybrid working arrangement, healthcare and enhanced pension, and clear progression toward Associate Director.

You will prepare planning appraisals, manage applications and coordinate inputs while maintaining client relationships and delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Must have consultancy experience and ability to lead applications.
• Able to explain planning issues in clear language.
• Values long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clear planning appraisals, statements and strategic advice.
• Manage planning applications and coordinate technical inputs.
• Maintain regular, professional communication with clients and project teams.
• Negotiate constructively with local planning authorities and other stakeholders.
• Review work produced by junior colleagues and support their development.
• Contribute to fee proposals, client development and the commercial management of projects.
