We seek Chartered Town Planners interested in supporting various clients across the Midlands on projects of differing sizes and complexities. The responsibilities include:

1. Conduct planning appraisals to advise clients on obtaining planning consent and strategic approaches.
2. Manage research and analysis, producing client-facing reports.
3. Support strategy development for each project aligned with client objectives.
4. Lead project teams, including architects and consultants, to deliver timely, compliant outputs.
5. Prepare planning applications, including drafting Planning Statements and Statements of Community Involvement.
6. Manage planning applications, negotiate conditions and obligations.
7. Represent clients in local plan and policy consultations.
8. Research, prepare, and submit appeals against planning refusals.
9. Assist in preparing proofs of evidence for planning inquiries as an expert witness.
10. Meet targets for fee earning through project delivery.
11. Assist in writing tender proposals and business development activities.
12. Work independently or as part of a team as required.

Requirements to apply:

• Strong academic credentials
• Chartered member of the RTPI
• Relevant professional experience for an Associate Town Planner role (private sector experience is a plus but not essential)
