Job summary

Corecom Technology Academy in the UK is launching a two-year training path to become a Test & Quality Engineer. The program combines full-time training with hands-on client projects, with 2 days per week on-site in London.

You will study Agile, databases, SQL, web services, and software testing, with on-the-job coaching from experienced trainers. After completing the training, there may be opportunities to join a client team permanently depending on performance.

Qualifications

• Intro training covers fundamentals of software QA and testing.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum, databases, SQL, websites, and Web Services / APIs.
• On-the-job coaching from experienced trainers and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Complete the introductory training and earn a salary from day one.

About the role

It all starts with our introductory training courses, covering everything you need to know to get started in the world of consulting. Our in-depth training is full time and is delivered on a hybrid learning basis (classroom & and remote). You'll learn a lot quite quickly - it will be fast-paced, but enjoyable and highly engaging!

After the training period you’ll have the opportunity to gain industry experience by working with our clients on their projects. For this specific role you’ll be working as part of CQE, a boutique UK consultancy focused on software quality and engineering delivery, offering expert software, testing, and project consultancy alongside rapid team-scaling support to help organisations build delivery confidence and engineering maturity.

After a period of training you’ll have the opportunity to gain industry experience by working with one or more of our clients as a Test & Quality Engineer, with 2-days per week on site in London. While doing this you’ll get continued support from us and the client you work with.

Our programme is designed as a two-year journey, giving you the opportunity to build meaningful industry experience, develop your technical and professional skills, and establish a strong foundation for your career. At the end of the programme, there may be opportunities to move into a permanent role with your client, depending on individual performance and opportunities available within the client organisation at the time.

About you

• A passion for technology and a willingness to learn
• A strong work ethic - you're up for the challenge and ready to work hard for it
• Loves working in teams
• Good organisational skills, both personally and as part of a team
• You have a degree, but it doesn't have to be in CompSci or a STEM degree
• You don't have a degree, but you have some recent work experience or you've been doing some upskilling in technology recently
