Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Associate Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in engineering looking for a career change or to join a leading R&D centre offering excellent training and development.

Working within the workshop you'll be doing

  • Setting up and operating machines and equipment according to standard procedures with supervision.
  • General hand skills working with materials and resins under supervision.
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintaining equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance schedule.
  • Learn and assist with resin infusion and prepreg techniques with composite materials.

In order to do this, you'll need to be able to; follow all safety protocols, maintain a clean and organised work environment, collaborate with technicians, engineers and project managers to support ongoing projects and development work.

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy when carrying out tasks.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Proficient in basic maths and measurement techniques.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Safe and responsible working manner in manufacturing areas.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding hand and pneumatic tools, but full training will be provided.
