Due to the excitingly large expansion of the Theatre services at Newham University Hospital that is taking place, we would like to invite you to join us to be part of our journey, bringing your vast experience and enthusiasm with you!
Newham University Hospital cares for one of the youngest, fastest growing and most diverse populations. Our teams are recognised nationally for their excellence in several areas including Diabetes, Bilingual Health Advocacy, Chest Pain Clinic, communications, and good corporate citizenship. We have a great track record in investing in training and development for our staff so that they can meet their full potential and provide the very best possible service to patients.
We are a department of 9 theatres in 2 different sites with 2 more theatres planning to re-open soon within the hospital complex:
A standalone Centre of Excellence and now Nationally Accredited Orthopaedic Centre (BHOC) by NHS England. We currently have 4 operating theatres and a recovery unit in Gateway Surgical Centre. With the accreditation, we are now fully recognized as the Centre of excellence in Upper Limb, Lower Limb, Trauma and Reconstructive Orthopaedic surgery.
Maternity Services and Main Theatres in the main hospital building with 5 operating theatres and a recovery unit have come together to provide day surgery cases, emergency procedures and specialist obstetric care.
