Join a Dynamic, and Thriving Property Consultancy – Senior Surveyor Wanted!

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Our client, just a stone's throw from Holborn Station, has been a key player in the property industry since the 1820s and is now looking for a passionate Senior Surveyor to join their successful Business Rates team.

This individual will support, learn, and develop as part of a natural succession within an experienced team. Responsibilities include progressing tenant and owner/occupier appeal and consultancy work, with direct client responsibility, alongside working with a Partner and other senior staff.

What is on offer? A stimulating and varied workload within a dedicated rating team, with close links to various property disciplines and sectors. You will deal with offices, shops, industrial properties, and high-profile clients like football clubs, the British Library, and museums. No two days are the same!

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Support senior team members.
  • Assist with casework, and develop and manage your own cases under supervision.
  • Prepare valuation data, including rental analysis, trade, and build costs.
  • Conduct property inspections and measurements.
  • Liaise with public bodies, clients, and authorities.
  • Contribute to business development efforts to increase fee income.
  • Attend client meetings as appropriate.
  • Prepare for and attend tribunals as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and act promptly.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
  • Organized and committed.
  • High level of service delivery skills.
  • Full driving license.
  • Experience working with Billing Authorities or Scottish Assessors/Valuation Office Agency is preferred.
