Job summary

Williams F1 Team seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to safeguard the quality of all purchased parts—metallic, composite, electronic, and precision-machined components. The role ensures parts arrive right first time and withstand the demanding conditions of F1 racing.

You will build strong supplier relationships, drive continuous improvement, and eliminate risks that could impact car performance or reliability.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Quality degree required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in high-tech, motorsport, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier audits (system, process, product) per ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.
• Create and maintain Williams bespoke Quality SOPs, standards, and QMS procedures.
• Validate new components using APQP, PPAP, FAI, and capability studies.
• Lead 8D investigations and corrective/preventive actions for supplier issues.
• Develop suppliers to meet F1-level precision and reliability.
• Track defects, on-time delivery, and escalate risks early.
• Develop and implement product control plans against engineering specs.
• Drive rapid, structured problem-solving for quality concerns.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and race teams to ensure parts meet spec and arrive on time.
