Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group in London is seeking an Associate to support Structuring within Transaction Banking Solutions. You will help manage client portfolios, assist with structuring and execution of transactions, and prepare product papers to support facility approvals.

You will work with credit teams and internal/external partners, develop cross-sell opportunities, and ensure compliance with group policies while contributing to the delivery of P&L targets in a hybrid, full-time role.

Qualifications

• Ability to undertake data analysis and financial modelling, and to interpret financial and non-financial information to identify key issues and put in place appropriate actions, controls and measures.
• An effective communicator with ability to communicate sophisticated topics and influence across peer groups or seniors respectively.

Responsibilities

• Assisting senior colleagues in managing a portfolio of existing clients and supporting the delivery of P&L targets.
• Supporting the structuring and execution of transactions, including client engagement, credit discussions, legal negotiations, and completion.
• Creation of Product Papers (credit memos) and engagement with the credit teams to support the approval of new and/or renewal of facilities.
• Helping with the execution of Transaction Banking Solutions products across trade and payments.
• Building relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including professional advisors.
• Identifying cross-sell opportunities and connecting clients with relevant TBS product specialists.
• Ensuring compliance with group policy and regulatory requirements and helping to identify and mitigate commercial risks.

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid which involves spending at least 3 days per week, or 60% of your time, in the office.

What we’re looking for

• Some experience or exposure to trade and capital products is beneficial, more importantly is a willingness to learn about structuring across receivables financing, supply chain finance, inventory finance, traditional trade, structured trade, asset finance, ECA, and Invoice Finance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
• Ability to undertake data analysis and financial modelling, and to interpret financial and non-financial information to identify key issues and put in place appropriate actions, controls and measures.
