Job summary

KT Healthcare is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to provide maternity-cover for a Year 9 student in a Chelmsford school. The role is a flexible associate contract, with travel to the client’s school as needed and potential for additional work beyond the initial period.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people in educational settings, with a small, flexible caseload and opportunities for professional development within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Possibly take on additional caseloads and future opportunities after the maternity cover.

Associate Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Chelmsford

Rate: £50–£70 per hour plus paid travel time and mileage

Hours: Once or twice a month, to start at the end of October

Contract:Associate contract - Maternity cover, with the potential for further work beyond the initial contract

KT Healthcare is a family-run organisation providing assessment and therapeutic services across the Brain Injury and Complex Care sectors. Our team of clinicians work on a sub-contracting basis – they are highly specialist and deliver high-quality assessments, reports, and therapy sessions within a multidisciplinary team.

We’re looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to provide maternity cover for an existing client based in a school in Chelmsford.

The role involves supporting a Year 9 student with mild speech and language difficulties, who has been an existing KT Healthcare client for several years. The student will require a consistent and experienced therapist to provide ongoing support once or twice a month within the school setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an SLT looking for a small, flexible caseload, with the potential for additional work and further opportunities with KT Healthcare following the maternity cover period.

Ideally, you will have experience working with children and young people in an educational setting, although we would also welcome applications from therapists with relevant experience across the wider age range.
