Vision RT is seeking an Associate Software Development Engineer in Test to join a growing software engineering team. This role is ideal for a recent Computer Science graduate or someone with 1–2 years of commercial experience who is passionate about software quality, automation and emerging technologies such as AI.

You will work with Software Engineers, Product teams and QA colleagues to ensure reliability and performance of innovative software products while growing in manual and automated

• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and software development.
• Experience with software development through commercial work, university coursework or personal projects.
• Understanding of software testing principles and quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with the software products and associated systems under test.
• Review and understand requirements, test plans and test cases.
• Create and maintain test cases based on requirements and technical documentation.
• Prepare and manage test data required for testing activities.
• Execute manual and automated testing for software releases.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites.
• Identify, document and track software defects.
• Perform regression and verification testing on resolved issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement activities.
• Work in accordance with company quality standards and industry best practices.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Computer Science graduate or someone with 1-2 years of commercial experience who is passionate about software quality, automation and emerging technologies such as AI. Working closely with Software Engineers, Product teams and QA colleagues, you will help ensure the reliability and performance of innovative software products while developing your skills across manual and automated testing.

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or 1-2 years of experience in Software Engineering or Test Automation.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and software development.
• Experience with software development through commercial work, university coursework or personal projects.
• Understanding of software testing principles and quality assurance practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.

£34,000 - £35,000 a year
