Position: Associate Software Engineer | OneSearch team

We’re entering an exciting new phase of our tech and product strategy, focusing on innovation, experimentation, and conversion. Our mission is to enhance the web and mobile experience for our guests and owners, ensuring seamless journeys across our group companies.

What team will you join?

Our OneSearch platform is central to our operations, supporting our flagship brands, third-party distribution partners, and providing real-time data for an international portfolio of 115,000 properties.

What will your role involve?

You will join our engineering teams, working in a culture that values results. We deliver with small, autonomous teams that own their products, using a modern tech stack in a meritocracy. Reliability and DevOps are integral to our work.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Building innovative products as part of a full-stack team to deliver excellent experiences for our guests and owners.
• Shaping the architecture and tech strategy for OneSearch, selecting the right technology for each task.
• Promoting best engineering practices like CI/CD, TDD, cloud architecture, and pair/mob programming.
• Encouraging experimentation, collaboration, learning, and discussion.
• Participating actively in the engineering and tech community within Awaze.

What are we looking for?

We value a passion for engineering and problem-solving. While we don't expect perfection, the ideal candidate will have:

• At least 12 months of experience building applications in any language, with a willingness to learn our stack quickly.
• Experience with Java and/or Clojure is a plus but not required.
• Experience deploying AWS services in production.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines: Github, Github Actions, AWS CodeDeploy.
• Familiarity with modern quality practices like pairing, TDD, BDD.
