Introduction to the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team who provide a full service to insolvency practitioners, banks and other funders, corporates entities and investors. The work of the team broadly falls into three categories, transactional, advisory and contentious.
Transactional work can involve acting on behalf of or across from an insolvency practitioner or purchaser on the sale and purchase of a business and/or assets (including debt sales); financial and corporate restructuring transactions including standstills, schemes of arrangement and special situations; and distressed real estate assignments.
Contentious work is mainly carried out for insolvency office holders and includes a wide variety of Court work that arises during an insolvency including antecedent transactions, wrongful trading, administration extensions, paragraph 71 applications. We also act for defendants in CDDA applications.
Contentious work is carried out for lenders and corporates and includes validation applications, enforcement of security and possession proceedings.
Advisory work includes board support, contingency planning, options advice, debt advisory work and strategic investment due diligence.
In this role, you will be advising businesses or individuals facing difficulties, as well as lenders, directors, special situations investors, private credit funds and insolvency practitioners seeking to find resolutions outside and inside of insolvency procedures.
