BlueOptima seeks an associate SDET to automate tests for scalable components, deployed remotely. The Belfast team develops and maintains automated UI and API tests, integrates with CI/CD, and drives quality through data‑centric test cases.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, end‑to‑end solution ownership, and collaboration with engineers to improve QA processes and release quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or 1–3 years of professional software development or testing experience.
• Experience writing code in an object‑oriented language such as Java.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and Subversion.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering and architecture to automate test case coverage plans.
• Create and maintain test automation (UI and API) within CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure expected software behaviour prior to releases.
• Increase overall automation suite coverage.
• Curate reports for stakeholders.
