Job description

We are seeking Associate Scientists to join IQVIA Laboratories at Livingstone.

Job Overview

The role involves performing routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures to gather data for drug development and clinical trials research.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Adhere to SOPs and regulatory guidelines for performing and documenting analytical procedures accurately.
  2. Conduct routine data analysis to ensure procedures meet expectations and maintain acceptable results.
  3. Identify and document performance errors or unusual results, escalating them to senior lab personnel promptly.
  4. Prepare and upload data analysis results to the LIMS system under senior staff guidance.
  5. Assist in quality investigations, deviations, and resolution processes, maintaining quality standards.
  6. Prepare necessary buffers and solutions for analysis, ensuring smooth laboratory operations.
  7. Guide entry-level staff, facilitating onboarding and providing support for routine procedures.
  8. Perform and document equipment calibration, maintain instruments, and participate in review and development of laboratory procedures, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
What We Are Looking For
  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology, with experience in some CAP/CLIA lab locations.
  2. Minimum 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
  3. Proficiency in laboratory techniques, GLP standards, safety, and infection control practices.
  4. Strong computer skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and effective collaboration skills, along with proficiency in laboratory calculations and equipment.
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role
  1. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
  2. Understanding and adherence to GLP and other regulatory standards.
  3. Experience with automation or specialized laboratory equipment.
  4. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, including handling hazardous chemicals.
  5. Ability to perform routine and non-routine calculations accurately, with strong computer skills and attention to detail.
