You will support authors, enhance editorial workflows, and contribute to high-quality scientific content, collaborating with editors, reviewers, and societies to ensure integrity and impact across journals.

Qualifications

• PhD in a physical science discipline (physics, chemistry, engineering, etc.).
• Professional level of written and spoken English.
• Experimental, results-driven and enthusiastic work attitude.
• Track record of published papers in scientific journals.
• Tech-savvy and familiar with online platforms, social media, and digital content.
• Strong communication and English skills.
• Ability to connect with the scientific community across a large international environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate content as a partner to external editors.
• Improve editorial processes for editors and reviewers.
• Engage with authors to help improve manuscripts.
• Manage the editorial process from submission to final decision.
• Help authors increase odds of acceptance elsewhere if rejected.
• Recruit and manage external editors and maintain standards.
