Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has a strong construction project management background, ideally in a consultancy.
• Experience at senior project manager level or above and a proven delivery track record.
• Knowledge of refurbishment, capital works or complex programmes; proficiency with procurement.
• Strong client management, leadership and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple construction projects from inception to completion across RIBA stages.
• Manage client relationships, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee programmes, budgets, procurement, risks and change control.
• Oversee tender processes, contractor appointments and JCT/NEC contracts.
• Provide strategic project advice and resolve delivery challenges.
• Mentor project managers and assistants; grow the PM team.
• Develop existing client relationships and identify repeat business opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to grow the project management offering.

The business delivers a varied portfolio of projects across the public and private sectors, including refurbishment, capital works and complex construction programmes.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager looking to progress into an Associate‑level position, taking greater responsibility for project delivery, client relationships and team development.

The successful candidate will oversee multiple commissions, manage key client relationships and contribute to the continued development of the consultancy's Project Management offering.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading multiple construction projects from inception through to completion across all RIBA stages.
• Managing client relationships, stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Overseeing project programmes, budgets, procurement, risk and change control.
• Managing tender processes, contractor appointments and JCT/NEC contracts.
• Providing strategic project advice and resolving delivery challenges.
• Supporting and mentoring Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
• Developing existing client relationships and identifying opportunities for repeat business.
• Working closely with senior leadership to support the growth of the Project Management team.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong background in construction Project Management, ideally within a consultancy environment.
• Experience operating at Senior Project Manager level or above.
• A proven track record of independently delivering multiple construction projects.
• Experience across refurbishment, capital works or complex construction programmes.
• Good knowledge of construction procurement, RIBA stages and JCT/NEC contracts.
• Strong client management, commercial awareness and leadership skills.
• Professional membership or chartership through APM, CIOB, RICS or equivalent would be beneficial.

Experience across healthcare, education, commercial or public sector projects would be advantageous.
