About us

One of the fastest growing multi-disciplinary construction consultancies in the UK is looking to hire an experienced "Associate Project Manager" to join their South West team. You will be part of a major project team, working on a development on the outskirts of Oxford worth over GBP200m. The project will include multiple buildings, infrastructure, stadia, and a science park.

As part of the Bristol office Project Management team, you will split your time between the site in Oxford, their Bristol office, and home working. The Bristol office team generally works on projects ranging from GBP10m to GBP100m in and around Bristol. This role is the largest in their current portfolio, and the successful "Associate Project Manager" will oversee a large package of works.

The role

The successful "Associate Project Manager" will currently be working for a Construction Consultancy with experience managing projects from inception to handover.

With full autonomy to lead and manage your own projects, your key duties on the larger project will include:

• Pre-construction coordination
• Management of internal and external consultant teams
• Client and contractor communication and collaboration
• Project reporting
• Development of procurement strategies
• Contract administration
• Project programming on MS Project
• Project risk registers
• Commercial oversight

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Current experience working as a "Project Manager" for a Construction Consultancy
• Track record managing projects from inception to handover
• Flexibility, reliability, and a can-do attitude
• Construction-related degree or equivalent professional qualifications
• Ideally chartered or working towards chartership within RICS, APM, or CIOB
• Solid understanding of delivery processes from RIBA 0-6
• Exceptional communication skills
