ABOUT THE ROLE
This role sits within the newly formed Retail Innovation and Change team. You will work closely with a Product Manager helping to bring exciting new ideas and innovation to life while also elevating the performance of our existing in-store offerings.
You will Leverage your exceptional communication skills and strategic stakeholder management to collaborate seamlessly with internal partners, unlocking critical business challenges and capitalising on emerging opportunities. The role will work with internal teams and 3rd party suppliers to drive these insights into a dynamic Product Roadmap that will redefine and enrich the customer and Partner experiences throughout our Waitrose locations.

  • Salary - £44,100 - £66,100

  • Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract

  • Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business.

  • The Retail Innovation & Change team aims for 1 day a week in the office to connect. There will be visits to branches when required to support the role.

  • Location - This role is a hybrid role home location is Bracknell.

Key responsibilities

Work with the team and the Product Manager to build, own and manage a Product Backlog that is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the product team will work on next, providing clarity on the value it will deliver and alignment to the overall objectives and key results (OKRs).

Use insight, data and analytics to identify opportunities to continually improve and iterate the product.

Assist in the creation of functional and nonfunctional requirements in collaboration with Product Managers and Development teams.

Essential skills/experience you’ll need

● Able to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions.

● Proven ability to respond to and prioritise changing demands effectively.

● Ability to balance multiple priorities, stakeholders and timelines.

● Experience leading cross-functional work.

● Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to influence others.

Desirable skills/experience you may have

● Some experience with Agile methodologies (such as SCRUM or Kanban). (2+years)

● Experience in defining and delivering Minimum Viable Products, running A/B tests and making data-oriented decisions.
