Job summary

Responsibilities

• Drive safety culture and training compliance across purchasing activities.
• Manage supplier relationships with quarterly visits and monthly calls.
• Support lean processes and continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
• Oversee supplier onboarding, onboarding documentation, and risk sensing.
• Coordinate with DART, CI opportunities, and part setup for customers.
• Analyse invoice metrics and support engineering changes.
• Maintain audit compliance and ensure proper procurement processes.
• Contribute to aftermarket growth and new business opportunities.

Job description

The Procurement Professional will be responsible for supporting teamwork to achieve key initiatives/projects, focusing on safety, compliance, lean processes, and sustainability. This role requires a proactive approach to risk mitigation, supplier management, and continuous improvement to support the organization's strategic goals. This role comes with greater responsibility to deliver Continuous improvement results, project delivery and drive standards across the procurement team. What You Will Do:

• Drive a safety culture with zero Recordable Incident Frequency (RIF) and near-miss reporting
• Ensure 100% completion of mandatory training on time (Workday, PROcure, TCO, Indirect Purchasing)
• Maintain internal audit compliance at 100%
• LEAN Training
• Support the DART team with ASN onboarding and supplier submission
• Drive automation and process updates, including SWS reviews and CI opportunities across the team.
• Manage supplier relationships with quarterly face-to-face visits and monthly calls for strategic suppliers, Including Supplier Risk Sensing lead.
• Improve invoice defect metrics by 10%
• Manage engineering changes and new part setup for customer focus
• General System Maintenance on a weekly/monthly basis
• Aftermarket Kitting continued growth
• New Business growth through customer support/new part setup
• Compliance Support - Country of Origin, Russian steel declaration, Compliance reporting
• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
• Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
• Procurement: Knowledge of buying and procurement; ability to work with organizational strategies and practices, and use tools for buying goods, supplies, equipment and services needed to conduct business.
• Knowledge of a Specific Procurement System: Knowledge of the features, functions and operations of a specific procurement system; ability to develop and use tools, techniques, and practices for a specific procurement application.
• Purchasing Tasks and Activities: Knowledge of policies, regulations and processes of purchasing; ability to use practices and procedures for procurement of materials, components, equipment and services.
• Logistics Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.

• Microsoft - In Particular Teams, Outlook, Excel (V-lookup/Formulas), PowerPoint & PowerBi
