Job summary

RED Engineering Design is recruiting an Associate Process Engineer/Mechanical Design Engineer to join our London or Bicester offices. The role focuses on decarbonisation, energy efficiency and sustainable facilities, with client-facing responsibilities and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will lead project teams, deliver technical design, coordinate with ENGIE/Tractebel network, and contribute to business development while upholding high standards of governance and professional integrity.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in mechanical, electrical or process engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status or working towards chartered status is desirable.
• Experience in building/campus services and energy systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote four pillars of decarbonisation, decentralisation, digitalisation and demand reduction in buildings and campuses.
• Oversee project teams and coordinate mechanical or electrical installations and services.
• Provide commercial support for sustainable infrastructure solutions and client proposals.
• Lead site energy, water and waste audits and techno-economic studies for energy-saving options.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated energy transition projects.
• Support sales strategy, develop client relationships and contribute to market opportunities.
• Represent RED Engineering Design at industry events and maintain compliance with governance.
