William James Recruitment is seeking a Private Client Solicitor in Birmingham with 5-10 years' PQE to join a highly regarded team within a leading UK law firm, working on high-value matters for private clients.

You will handle probate, trusts, estate planning, and tax matters, develop intermediary relationships, mentor junior solicitors, and contribute to business development and growth of the practice.

Formación

• Qualified Private Client Solicitor with ideally 5-10 years' PQE.
• Strong experience in probate and estate planning for high-net-worth clients.
• Knowledge of trusts, estate administration and tax planning.
• STEP qualification preferred; willing to undertake the qualification.
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Advise high-net-worth individuals on estate planning and wealth preservation.
• Handle estate administration, including the creation and administration of lifetime and Will trusts.

This Private Client Solicitor role in Birmingham is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to join a highly regarded team within an established UK law firm.

With a strong reputation in the private wealth market and an established client base, this role offers the opportunity to work on high-value and complex matters, develop intermediary relationships and play an active role in the continued growth of the practice.

The Role:

• Manage a varied caseload of private client matters, with a focus on high-value and complex probate work
• Advise high-net-worth individuals on estate planning and wealth preservation
• Handle estate administration, including the creation and administration of lifetime and Will trusts
• Advise on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax planning
• Build and develop relationships with professional intermediaries and referrers
• Support, supervise and mentor junior members of the team
• Contribute to business development and the ongoing growth of the practice

The Candidate:

• Qualified Private Client Solicitor with ideally 5-10 years' PQE
• Strong technical experience across private client matters, particularly complex probate and estate planning
• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families
• Knowledge of trusts, estate administration and tax planning
• STEP qualification would be advantageous, although a willingness to undertake the qualification is essential
• Commercially minded, with an interest in business development and developing referral networks
• Excellent communication, organisation and client relationship skills
