Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Associate Practitioner to join the Point of Care Testing team. The role involves supporting Biomedical Scientists, working across sites, and helping staff deliver patient-facing testing outside the lab environment.

The post requires a proactive, dynamic individual to work shifts and maintain SOP-compliant testing and quality assurance. You will also manage POCT training records and data for reporting purposes to stakeholders.

  • Maintain and quality assure medical devices used for point-of-care testing in line with SOPs.
  • Manage POCT training records and data to enable production of reports and audits.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Practitioner to join our friendly, multi-disciplinary, multi-site Point of Care Testing Team, supporting the Biomedical Scientists in the team. If you want to expand your knowledge and understand how the Point of Care Team work outside the laboratory environment, helping the staff working closer to patients- this could be the job for you. We are looking for a keen, dynamic, forward thinking individual prepared to work shifts to help us deliver the services we undertake., To support the Point of Care Team in maintaining and quality assuring medical devices used to test patient samples at the point of care, according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). To maintain POCT data bases of staff training, test and quality data to enable production of reports for distribution.
