Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in Luton is seeking an Associate Practitioner to join the inpatient nursing team within a 24/7 mental health service. You will work independently and collaboratively across a multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality care and acting as a role model for colleagues.

You will lead on the physical health needs of service users, deliver training to new starters, and support flexible working and service improvement as part of a supportive EPUT

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our service as an Associate Practitioner. You will be working independently and accountably as part of the nursing team and wider multi-disciplinary team offering 24 hour mental health access and information in the locality of the Trust. The Inpatient service runs 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 365 days a year, working shift patterns. You will act as a role model to other colleagues within the team. You will work collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, clinicians and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team. You will deliver high quality, effective operational service to people with mental health needs, in accordance with the principles and objectives of the Trust and its vision as identified in the service. The position requires the successful candidate to work flexibly and undertake a change in role at short notice. You will work collaboratively with others within the organisation to provide an exemplary level of care to service users and their carers. You will take a lead role in the physical health needs of service users. You will provide training in aspects of care to new starters on the unit. Valuing you. Recognising your dedication.
