Job summary

Overview

AtkinsRéalis, a leading multi‑disciplinary consultancy, is recruiting senior or principal town planners to support the growth of our London and South East teams on major infrastructure and development projects.

Your role
  • Act as Planning Lead on projects across a range of markets and sectors.
  • Participate actively in bid preparation, tender submissions and framework responses.
  • Serve as lead consultant for multidisciplinary projects, responsible for project management and delivery.
  • Provide support to junior colleagues and planning team leaders.
  • Work collaboratively in a dynamic environment with environmental, engineering and design disciplines.
  • Engage with market and client leads to support business growth and development opportunities.
About You
  • A relevant planning degree; RTPI membership desirable.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and deliver on time and within budget.
  • Experience with Environment Impact Assessment process.
  • Knowledge in strategic planning and planning policy.
  • Understanding of TCPA, DCO, TWAO or equivalent applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain, explore and discuss planning issues.
  • Flexibility to apply knowledge across a wide variety of planning‑related tasks.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop client relationships and support market growth.
