Job summary

DWF is seeking an Associate to join the Major Injury & Casualty team in Scotland, handling a varied caseload across Employers Liability, Public Liability, Personal Injury, and Catastrophic Loss claims. You will be part of a high-performing team with opportunities for growth, in a hybrid environment offering office and home-based work across Glasgow or Edinburgh.

DWF Law LLP is seeking to recruit an Associateto join our growing Major Injury & Casualty team dealing varied caseload of litigated cases across Employers Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL) and Personal Injury or Catastrophic Loss claims.You will be joining at high performing team and will get exposure to a high value complex case load where you will be able to showcase your skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• Strong technical ability to include a thorough grasp of principles, case law and litigation.
• Working with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice.
• Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices
• Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
• Developing your technical and commercial knowledge via training or working practices.

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential Criteria;6+ months Experience handling own caseload of pre-litigated and Sheriff Court Employers Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL) and Personal Injury and Catastrophic Loss claims, as well as assisting more senior team members with large value, complex files.Experience managing Employers Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL) and Catastrophic Loss claims.Insurance litigation experience is essential.Previous experience in Scottish law and a Scotland legal qualifications, are essential for this role.

Desirable Criteria

Experience handling litigation experience in one of the following area's
