Job summary

DWF is recruiting an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Motor Claims team in Scotland, handling Motor Personal Injury and Fraud claims from inception to resolution. The role requires a strong background in motor insurance litigation and Scottish law, with a capability to manage a varied caseload.

The position offers a hybrid working model with offices in Glasgow or Edinburgh and opportunities for progression within a leading international law firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified Associate or Senior Associate with 2+ years PQE in Motor, Fraud, RTA or Personal Injury claims.
• Scottish qualified legal professional with previous Scottish law experience; UK & Wales experience not considered.
• Strong knowledge of Motor, Fraud, RTA or Personal Injury insurance law, including civil procedure and litigation processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of Motor Personal Injury and Fraud claims, from inception to resolution.
• Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and liaising with experts.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver integrated legal solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential

• Qualified Associate or Senior Associate with a minimum of 2+ years PQE (Post-Qualified Experience) in Motor, Fraud, RTA or Personal Injury claims.
• We will potential consider NQ Solicitor's that have experience or trained in these areas.
• Strong knowledge of Motor, Fraud, RTA or Personal Injury insurance law, including civil procedure and litigation processes.
• Proven ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
• Scottish qualified legal professional with previous Scotttish law experience is ESSENTIAL for this role.
• We are unable to consider candidate's that have UK & Wales experience.

• Experience in handling high-value or complex claims is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
