Associate, ML Data Operations, GO-AI Operations

This team enables automation at Amazon Robotics Fulfillment centers, serving Amazon Internal Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics teams by providing real-time & offline (image/video) data auditing services. A key contribution is supporting the maintenance of inventory accuracy in fulfillment centers.

An Associate in this role is responsible for watching videos of stowing actions at a fulfillment center, understanding the content thoroughly, and using human judgment combined with tools to identify activities captured in the videos. They verify or mark product locations using a tool, ensuring high accuracy. This operational role involves performing precise video/image audits to aid defect reduction, under general supervision.

Key job responsibilities

• Watch several hundred videos per shift, providing responses focused on accuracy, speed, and adherence to best practices.
• Maintain a dedicated workspace if working from home, with appropriate equipment and data security.
• Follow pre-defined schedules for breaks, ensuring 6.8 to 7 hours are spent on video responses daily.

The candidate should demonstrate:

• Willingness to work in a non-tech role for a 6-month contract.
• Ability to audit image/video/text-based jobs accurately.
• Attention to detail, especially in blurry or less sharp videos.
• Willingness to meet incremental targets for quality and productivity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with consistent performance.
• Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including nights, and remotely as part of a team.
• Readiness to attend the office when required, and to turn on the laptop camera during virtual meetings.

A day in the life

Associates work in a 24x7 environment with rotational shifts, typically 9 hours including scheduled breaks. Shift timings may change every 3-4 months based on business needs. Night shift allowances are provided as per Amazon policy.

Weekly offs are rotational, two consecutive days off, which may not necessarily be Saturday and Sunday, or as per business discretion.

About the team

The Data Auditing Operations team provides human support to Amazon Fulfillment facilities to enable hands-free active stowing through visual audits of videos/images. Videos, usually 15-20 seconds long, are reviewed for product storage accuracy, helping to improve automated processes and maintain stow quality. Performance is regularly evaluated for coaching and improvements.
