Job summary

HDR is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our data centre teams in Manchester. You will work with engineering colleagues from concept through drawings, specifications and equipment sizing, engaging with the construction phase to ensure delivery of robust, compliant HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated data centre HVAC design experience preferred.
• Chartered Engineer status is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Group Leader with project delivery and coaching of engineers.
• Produce detail and installation design for HVAC solutions for data centres.
• Manage resources to meet project demands and maintain technical quality.
• Ensure design work complies with quality and regulatory standards.
• Lead design reviews and maintain QA and safety practices.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across disciplines and teams.
