Job summary

NCC is looking for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering & Manufacturing team at Emerson's Green, Bristol. You will provide technical support in the workshop, helping to plan and deliver manufacturing activities safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.

Working with engineers, technicians and project teams, you will support processes, contribute to project delivery and ensure resources, equipment and documentation meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting manufacturing, production or engineering activities in a workshop or industrial environment.
• Ability to follow, maintain and produce technical documentation such as work instructions, process documentation or risk assessments.
• Good awareness of health, safety and quality requirements, with a commitment to safe working practices in a manufacturing environment.
• A proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• A collaborative team player who can build positive relationships with colleagues and customers and communicate effectively at all levels

Responsibilities

• Supporting manufacturing activities and workshop operations across a range of projects.
• Assisting with the planning and coordination of manufacturing resources, equipment and workspace requirements.
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation, including process instructions, risk assessments and manufacturing records.
• Supporting engineers and project teams in developing and delivering manufacturing solutions.
• Monitoring manufacturing activities and helping capture data to support workshop performance and continuous improvement.
• Contributing to project proposals and technical deliverables where manufacturing input is required.
• Working collaboratively with technicians, engineers and workshop users to resolve day‑to‑day technical challenges.
• Supporting the implementation and development of manufacturing processes and best practice within the workshop environment.
• Preparing clear and accurate documentation and project updates for customers and stakeholders.
• Taking ownership of specific workshop areas, equipment or activities where required.

The role
