Job summary

London South Bank University (LSBU) seeks an Associate Lecturer in Computer Science to join a friendly teaching team.

You will design and deliver lectures, tutorials and practical sessions across undergraduate and postgraduate computing, set and mark assessments, and act as a personal tutor. You will be encouraged to pursue scholarship that feeds back into practice, including curriculum design and pedagogy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or closely related discipline.
• Experience teaching in higher education, FE, or industry and ability to explain difficult concepts.
• Commitment to inclusive and accessible teaching and to student success.
• Scholarly activity related to pedagogy, curriculum design or engagement with the computing community.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, tutorials and practical sessions across undergraduate and postgraduate computing.
• Set and mark assessments and provide feedback to students.
• Act as a personal tutor and participate in module development.
• Pursue scholarship that informs and improves practice (pedagogic development, curriculum design, professional currency).
