Job summary

Arden University seeks skilled professionals to join our pool of Associate Lecturers, delivering across blended learning and distance learning environments. Work is offered on a semester basis, or a task and finish basis, allowing you to accept work that fits your schedule and professional interests.

You will be an experienced associate lecturer with the ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning across UK higher education, including DL roles.

Qualifications

• A teaching qualification is required.
• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience teaching and assessing in UK higher education.
• Experience delivering student-centred teaching, including distance learning.
• Up-to-date industry experience.
• Fellowship of Advance HE or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching and learning in BL and DL environments, with feedback to students.
• Lead online sessions via Zoom and engage students through forums.
• Participate in standardisation, and undertake formative and summative marking.
• Provide supervision for student projects and dissertations.
• Develop or revise engaging lecture content with copyright compliance.
• Contribute to meetings, peer reviews and staff development.
