Job summary

Russell-Cooke is seeking an experienced insolvency lawyer to join the growing insolvency team in London. The role suits a 2-5 PQE attorney with expertise in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring. You will handle a broad range of matters for practitioners, directors, creditors and other stakeholders.

The position offers hands-on client-facing work in a small team, with flexibility across Putney and Bedford Row offices and opportunities for business development.

Qualifications

• Energetic insolvency lawyer with good attention to detail and a record of providing proactive, commercially astute advice.
• At 2-5 PQE, able to manage files pro-actively, supervise juniors/trainees, and grow insolvency practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct insolvency litigation, including antecedent transactions and office holder claims.
• Advise directors and stakeholders on financial difficulties and restructuring proposals (CVAs, Part 26A).
• Analyse cases to identify strengths, weaknesses and alternatives; draft correspondence and statements.
• Instruct counsel and liaise with litigation funders and ADR options where appropriate.
• Manage day-to-day matters for office holders and maintain client relationships; support business development.
