Job summary

Edge Hill University is seeking an experienced academic leader to become Associate Head of School (Research & Knowledge Exchange). You will shape the School’s strategy, drive income targets and performance measures, and strengthen REF and KEF outputs while building regional and international partnerships.

You will promote interdisciplinary, innovative research, including responsible use of digital and AI-enabled approaches, fostering a high-performing culture and staff development to support

Qualifications

Proven track record in leading research/knowledge exchange initiatives.
Experience securing funding and delivering demonstrable impact.
Ability to build regional, national and international partnerships.
Experience with interdisciplinary initiatives and digital innovation in academia.

Responsibilities

Lead the School’s research and knowledge exchange strategy aligning with income targets and performance measures.
Strengthen contributions to REF and KEF and grow research income.
Promote innovative, inclusive interdisciplinary research and responsible use of digital tools including AI in scholarship.
Influence and develop staff while collaborating with senior leaders to improve the student experience and teaching.
