The University of Wolverhampton invites applications for Associate Dean for Research and Knowledge Exchange in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. This senior role supports the 2035 strategy to deliver world‑leading research, inform teaching, and realise a more inclusive, productive society.

The post leads the Faculty's research and knowledge exchange strategy, champions research excellence, oversees PG Research training and student experience, and builds external partnerships

Qualifications

• Visionary research leader with a proven track record in interdisciplinary research.
• Experience in developing and implementing research strategy.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to build strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the Faculty's Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategy.
• Champion research excellence and innovation, building on REF and KEF performance.
• Oversee PG Research training programmes (PhD and Prof Doc) and the PGR student experience.
• Foster an inclusive and collaborative research culture reflecting commitment to equality and engagement.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, Heads of School, and Research Centres to build capability and secure external funding.
• Represent the Faculty on committees and external networks, influencing policy regionally and internationally.
