Job summary

RBC is seeking a professional to support Investment Banking services for the Industrials sector, focusing on M&A, ECM and DCM transactions from London. The role involves assisting in deal marketing, execution and client relationship development within the Capital Goods vertical.

The successful candidate will work with product and country teams, ensuring adherence to firm policies, and participate in a collaborative, high-performance environment in the Capital Markets group.

Qualifications

• Degree educated.
• Previous investment banking or corporate M&A experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Investment Banking services and ability to apply them creatively to diverse client needs.
• Sound judgement, particularly in valuation matters, with strong research and analytical skills.

What is the opportunity?

To provide Investment Banking services (Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and leverage finance) to corporate and private equity clients operating/investing in the Industrials sector.

RBC's expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

• To assist in the marketing and execution of M&A, equity and financing transactions in the Industrials sector, specialising in Capital Goods vertical.
• To assist in the development of relationships with, and generate revenue from, corporates and private equity clients focused on the sector
• To work in close co-operation with product and country teams in coverage of the sector
• Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Degree educated
• Previous investment banking or corporate M&A experience
• In-depth knowledge of Investment Banking services and the ability to apply them creatively to diverse client needs
• Sound judgement, particularly in valuation matters, with strong research and analytical skills

Nice to have

• Prior Industrials, specifically Capital Goods sector experience
• FCA registered/Approved person
