Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking an Associate Flood Risk Engineer to join the Leeds team. The role blends technical delivery with project leadership, client relations and mentoring of junior engineers on development-led schemes across the UK.

You'll work on FRA, drainage, EIA inputs and water management studies, collaborating with engineers, planners and environmental specialists in a hybrid Leeds-based setup with some UK-wide project involvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and environmental impact assessment.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and manage projects and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and EIA inputs on major projects.
• Interpret hydraulic modelling outputs and challenge assumptions.
• Develop and manage proposals, bids, and client relationships.
