Field Service Engineer

Contract: Permanent Contract

Region Covered: South West England.

Successful candidate would ideally be based in Bristol.

Position summary

To maintain professional and profitable repair and preventive maintenance service business on Stryker’s products while ensuring compliance with the quality system and manufacturer specifications. Deliver technical assistance and documentation to internal and external customers.

What you will do

• Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determine technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinated product solutions.
• Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conduct technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives.
• Act as local on-site representative to customer's organization.

What you need

• Degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering, or an Engineering discipline-based qualification.
• 1 to 2 years experience in medical electronics and camera technology or equivalent, or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.
• Fluency in both spoken and written (technical and medical) English.
• Adequate IT knowledge (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, MFG/Pro, PS3, Outlook).
• Experience in a high-demand position, with a high level of responsibility and organizational skills.
• Some experience in a hospital and health care environment would be an advantage.
• IT experience on administrative and technical level.
