Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking an Associate Engineer to lead delivery of complex construction engineering services across UK projects.

You will support multidisciplinary teams, drive buildability improvements, and foster technical excellence within the team. Based in various locations, the role offers leadership in temporary works design, coordination across design disciplines, and active involvement from concept through delivery on major infrastructure schemes.

Qualifications

• Chartered member of a relevant institution (e.g. CEng MICE) with substantial experience.
• Experience leading complex construction engineering services and temporary works design.
• Skilled in design management and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to provide technical assessment of third-party designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead temporary works design and checking integrated with permanent works.
• Provide tender and bid support including feasibility studies.
• Manage delivery of alternative solutions and value engineering.
• Oversee project teams ensuring technical compliance and quality of design deliverables.
• Build relationships with clients and design teams; represent Kier at project meetings.
