Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours are available.

This role is office-based.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Working within a product development team on hardware products and security solutions.
  • Creating and maintaining electronic hardware for custom-designed security products.
  • Modifying existing designs and collaborating on new product/system designs.
  • Receiving training and support, with a budget for external courses, and dedicating time to innovation and research.

More About You

To apply, you should have:

  • Experience in the design and test of analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Beneficial but not essential:

  • Qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a relevant degree (2:2 or higher).
  • Experience in electronic schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Experience with RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Good understanding of PCB manufacturing processes.

Putting Your Skills to Use

You will be involved in the full product development process, creating diverse designs and working with various partners. You should be creative, willing to learn, and determined to succeed.

Using your skills, you will:

  • Design, develop, and document electronic PCB systems.
  • Verify designs through testing and peer reviews.
  • Support products and investigate defects.
  • Contribute to library parts creation and project planning.
