Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours are available.

This role is office-based.

Responsibilities include: designing, building, and testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards, and developing electronic hardware for security products.

You will join a product development team working on hardware solutions to protect security, using your technical knowledge to create and maintain electronic hardware for custom-designed security products for partners at home and overseas.

Daily tasks vary, from modifying existing designs to collaborating on new product systems. You will receive training and support, including a training budget for external courses, and time dedicated to innovation and research.

About You

To qualify, you should have:

  • Experience in designing and testing analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • An understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Additional beneficial qualifications include:

  • Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a relevant Degree (2:2 or higher).
  • Experience in electronic schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Experience with RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

Personal Skills

You should be keen to learn, collaborate effectively with engineers, committed to completing projects to a high standard, innovative, adaptable, proactive in planning improvements, and able to understand partner needs.

Using Your Skills

You will be involved in the full product development process, designing, developing, and documenting electronic PCB systems, verifying designs, supporting products, and contributing to project planning.
