Job Description

Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description: Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours available.

This role is office-based.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, build, and test electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Join a product development team working on hardware products and solutions to enhance security.
  • Create and maintain electronic hardware for custom-designed security products to meet partner needs.
  • Modify existing designs and collaborate on new product/system designs.
  • Receive training and support, with a budget for external courses and dedicated time for innovation and research.

About You:

  • Experience in designing and testing analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.
  • Beneficial but not essential: further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, experience in schematic capture, PCB design, RF, EMC, signal integrity, and understanding of PCB manufacturing processes.

  • Verify designs through testing and peer reviews.
  • Support products, investigate defects, and contribute to project planning.
