Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job Overview

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours are available. The position is office-based.

Are you capable of designing, building, and testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards? Are you eager to develop your skills and advance your career in engineering? Join our product development team working on hardware products and security solutions. You will use your technical knowledge to create and maintain electronic hardware for custom security products, meeting the needs of partners domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and document electronic PCB systems to high standards.
  • Verify designs through testing and peer reviews.
  • Support products and investigate reported defects.
  • Contribute to library parts creation and management.
  • Participate in project planning and meetings.
Candidate Requirements

To be considered, you should have:

  • Experience in designing and testing analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Additional beneficial qualifications include:

  • Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a relevant Degree (2:2 or higher).
  • Experience with electronic schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Experience in RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

  • Keen to learn and improve both technical and non-technical skills.
  • Enthusiastic about collaborating with other engineers.
  • Driven to see projects through to completion.
  • Enjoys solving complex problems with innovative solutions.
