Job summary

QinetiQ Limited, Farnborough, is seeking an Associate Electromagnetic Scientist to develop technologies that explore how EM energy interacts with materials, systems and platforms across land, air and sea domains. You will join the RF Signatures Team, using computational modelling, lab testing and analysis to solve complex problems and deliver experiments on state-of-the-art facilities.

The role requires 37 hours per week with on-site presence at Farnborough and SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, including fields, waves, propagation and scattering.
• Experience using electromagnetic modelling or simulation.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts through reports and presentations.
• Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).

Responsibilities

• Delivering electromagnetic modelling, simulation and analysis activities across projects.
• Conducting laboratory RF measurements and material characterisation.
• Producing high-quality technical reports and presenting findings to customers and stakeholders.
• Supporting the development of advanced materials and technologies for electromagnetic signature management.
