Job summary

The Abbey is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to lead MEP projects across the Manchester & Leeds area. This role focuses on taking project leadership responsibilities and guiding the Electrical team on a mix of commercial, higher education, and healthcare projects.

You will interact directly with clients, providing innovative design solutions and coordinating with contractors, architects and developers to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in building services.
• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Lead the electrical team and project leadership.
• Promote growth within the electrical team.
• Communicate with clients and manage expectations.
• Develop relationships with clients, contractors, architects and developers.
• Manage workload of engineers and technicians.
• Prepare technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP projects in Manchester & Leeds.
• Input to and assist with leading the Electrical team on projects.
• Work on Commercial, Higher Education and Healthcare schemes.
• Provide innovative design solutions and manage client expectations.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects and developers.
• Prepare and oversee technical specifications and drawings.

There is a large-sized multi-Disc consultancy that is currently looking to take on an Associate Electrical engineer to join their office in Manchester. This consultancy is renowned for working on large-scale projects across the UK that work closely with their clients and deliver on high-end projects. The overall team size across Manchester and Leeds is around 40+

Role Overview

This role will see you leading MEP projects, along with inputting to and assisting with leading the Electrical team on projects in the Manchester & Leeds area. Currently, the team have quite a few projects on the go such as Commercial (Office & Hotels), Higher education, and Healthcare. This presents a unique opportunity for an established Electrical Engineer to make their mark with a large consultancy and work their way up to a Partner level position.

Key Requirements

• 8+ Years' experience in building Services
• Have a degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Leading the Electrical team and taking project leadership roles as required
• Promoting and assisting with growth amongst the Electrical team
• Communicating directly with Clients, offering innovative design solutions and managing expectations
• Further developing relationships with existing and new clients including contractors, architects and developers
