A leadership role responsible for providing effective team leadership and support to project teams, overseeing multiple structural engineering projects and ensuring high-quality, profitable delivery. The role also contributes to strategy, organisational development, practice management and continuous business improvement.

  • Troubleshooting project issues to ensure quality, creativity and effectiveness in proposed solutions.
  • Maintaining high standards of project management and technical delivery.
• Financial Management
  • Maintaining strong financial management across team budgets, income and expenditure.
  • Managing project appointments, fees and financial performance to support profitable project delivery.
  • Providing regular updates to Directors to support financial monitoring, forecasting and planning.
• Team Management
  • Managing team resources, including workload allocation and resource planning.
  • Managing team performance, including appraisals, promotion and recognition.
  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to project teams.
  • Acting as a mentor to allocated graduates and junior members of staff.
  • Supporting the professional development and progression of team members.
• Business Development
  • Nurturing existing client relationships and developing new business opportunities in conjunction with the Group Engineer (GE), Associate Directors (AD) and the Elliott Wood Partnership CRM programme.
  • Contributing to business development and work-winning activities to support the growth of the practice.
